i love kushandwizdom, but this shit makes me angry. that’s not love. being in love doesn’t mean every day is a peachy fucking fairy tale. a lot of days can be, and you should always try to find something new to love everyday—but realistically, this is NOT how love works. Sometimes you find something in the one you love that surprises you, something you don’t like, something you disagree with, or even something you can’t stand. But love means you accept it and love them anyway. It means you take their flaws for what they are: intricate puzzle pieces that make up a person you respect, trust, love, and adore. being in love isn’t a guarantee of happiness or some silly little fantasy where every day just gets better and better—that’s bullshit spun up from hollywood. being in love is hard, it takes commitment, and an open mind—being in love is accepting someone else, wanting the best for them and bringing out the best in them. being in love is wanting and striving for every day to be like this fantasy, but still being happy if it isn’t.
